Since arriving to the area in 2017, Dr. Kenny Piatt has established himself as a musician in Massachusetts and greater New England. He maintains a busy schedule, regularly performing with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Waterbury Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of Indian Hill, Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, and many other area groups. Kenny also works as the Repair Manager, craftsman, and in quality control at the S.E. Shires Company. Previously, Dr. Piatt has appeared with the Canton Symphony Orchestra, Akron Symphony Orchestra, Pittsburgh Ballet and Opera Orchestra, Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic, Summit Choral Society, and the River Cities Symphony.
As an educator, Dr. Piatt is active as an artist, clinician, and recitalist. He has served as Instructor of Trumpet at The University of Mount Union, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and Fairmont State University. As a public school educator, he has served as faculty at Stivers School for the Arts and Assistant Band Director with Cuyahoga Falls City Schools.
Kenny has a D.M.A. from West Virginia University, a MM from Ohio University, and a Music Education degree from The University of Akron.
