Ana Ospina is a passionate cellist and educator based in Boston, MA. She views music as a bridge for multicultural communication and community connection. Ana holds a Master of Music in Cello Performance from the Longy School of Music of Bard College and a Bachelor of Arts in Cello Performance from William Carey University, blending performance, teaching, and arts administration in her career.
As a cello faculty member and administrative assistant at the Boston String Academy, Ana provides group and individual instruction, leads orchestra rehearsals, and manages community outreach through newsletters and social media. She also coordinates Longy School of Music’s Side-by-Side program, facilitating logistics for its educational activities and concerts while serving as the primary contact for families.
Ana is a founding member of Ámbar, a collective showcasing multicultural concerts by underrepresented composers. Her recital Raíces celebrated the cello's versatility through folk and dance traditions, emphasizing cultural connection. She performs regularly with orchestras in the Greater Boston area, including the Du Bois Orchestra, where she serves as Personnel Manager.
Ana has performed internationally, including premiering Señora del Paisaje in Colombia and participating in Silkroad’s Global Musicians Workshop. Dedicated to innovation in performance and teaching, Ana enriches the arts through her multifaceted artistry.
