Heinrich Schütz
Tenor I, Tenor II
Anima mea liquefacta est, ut dilectus locutus est,
Vox enim eius dulcis, et facies eius decora.
Labia eius lilia stillantia myrrham primam.
My soul melted when my beloved spoke;
For his voice is sweet, and his face is lovely.
His lips are lilies dripping liquid myrrh.
Adiuro vos, filiae Hierusalem,
Si inveneritis dilectum meum,
Un nuntietis ei, quia amore langueo.
I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem,
If you meet my beloved,
Let him know that I languish with love.
Song of Solomon: 5:6; 2:14; 5:13; 5:8
