Demantius: Denn wer sich selbst erhöhet
Johannes Christoph Demantius (1567-1643)
Christoph Demantius was a German composer of the generation before Schütz. He was music director at St. Stephens in Prague. His motets are of a Renaissance sort, but with some of the new Baroque manner that would soon take over German composition.
