Over the past decade, the Emmanuel Choir has had the privilege of performing six a capella motets by the Philadelphia composer James Primosch. The last two season we are engaged in recording all of them, live, for CD release. Today’s motet is the only one of the six not composed for our choir. The composer writes:Salve Regina was composed at the request of Rev. John Kamas, SSS, for the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the presence of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament in the United States.
