10/06: Bach cantata BWV 75, Die Elenden sollen essen, daß sie satt werden, a two part cantata will be presented as book ends to the sermon, as it would have been performed at the St. Tomaskirche in Leipzig during Bach's time.
12/01: Bach cantata BWV 33, Allein zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ, will commemorate the 100th birthday of Bach Aria Group founder William Scheide, musician and important patron of the arts. John Harbison will conduct the cantata, and the musicians will perform from photocopies of original manuscript in Bach's hand. The service will be followed by a talk given by John Harbison about William Scheide’s contribution to the promotion of Bach’s work in this country, including the manuscript from which the musicians will be performing.
12/15: Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, cantata H819, Meine Seele erhebt. In collaboration with the Packard Humanities Institute, which is editing the complete works of CPE Bach, we present this North American premiere of the CPE Bach setting of the German Magnificat.
